Custom applications in Aberdeen and Grays Harbor

Custom applications are software built around how your business works. That can be an internal tool, a customer-facing app, an iPhone app, or something that connects the systems you already use. I am Xander Johnstone of Olympic Digital Solutions in Aberdeen.

We start with a conversation. I ask how the work actually happens, then I build what fits. I write down what the first version will do and what it will not do, and you hear that before I start. I do not begin with a feature list copied from another industry. If a website is all you need, the website design page is the right one. If the computers and accounts are the problem, see small business IT.

Two of my own iPhone apps are Housekept and ProofStamp. Housekept reminds you when home maintenance is due and keeps appliance records and warranties. ProofStamp puts the date, time, and location on photos and videos and keeps proof they have not been changed. Neither is on the App Store yet. The support pages are Housekept and ProofStamp. More is on the selected work section.

I have more than 10 years in IT, from the US Navy to networks for local healthcare clinics and city government. I hold Security+, GSEC, GCIH, GWAPT, GFACT, and Microsoft MCP. Those certificates are about security and systems, and they are listed with the badges on the About page.

We can meet in Aberdeen or elsewhere in the county: Aberdeen, Hoquiam, and Cosmopolis, Montesano, Elma, and McCleary, and Ocean Shores and Westport. A lot of the build itself is remote after that first conversation.

Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm. Evenings and weekends are by appointment. Call or text (360) 717-2220 for a quote, and describe the job the software would replace. If it is not something I should build, I will say so.

Questions

What kinds of software do you build?

Internal tools, customer-facing apps, iPhone apps, and software that connects systems you already use.

Are Housekept and ProofStamp on the App Store?

No. Both are coming soon. I link only to their support pages until they are published.

Do we have to meet in person?

We can. I am in Aberdeen and I travel across Grays Harbor. After we talk it through, much of the build can be remote.

How do I reach you?

Call or text (360) 717-2220. Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm. Evenings and weekends are by appointment.
