Network design in Aberdeen and Grays Harbor

A network should be planned before the equipment goes on the wall. I design Wi-Fi that reaches the whole building, wired networks, firewalls, and secure remote access, for offices and homes. I am Xander Johnstone of Olympic Digital Solutions in Aberdeen.

The usual jobs are a shop where the Wi-Fi dies in the back room, an office that needs a firewall, and a way for the owner to reach the systems without leaving a door open. Homes get the same kind of plan when the signal stops at one end of the house. I look at the building and how people work, then I say what should be installed and what can stay. I do not start by selling a stack of hardware, and I write down the plan before the install day.

Network work is part of more than 10 years in IT. That includes the US Navy and, later, managing networks for local healthcare clinics and city government. I hold Security+, GSEC, GCIH, GWAPT, GFACT, and Microsoft MCP. The list is on the About page.

Installation and changes are on-site. I label what I can and I leave a short note of what changed, so the next visit is not a guess. After the network is in, ongoing account, email, and printer trouble is small business IT. A single broken laptop is computer repair.

I do this work in Aberdeen, Hoquiam, Cosmopolis, Central Park, Aberdeen Gardens, Montesano, Elma, McCleary, Ocean Shores, Westport, and the nearby coast towns I list on the area pages: Aberdeen and Hoquiam, Montesano, Elma, and McCleary, and Ocean Shores and Westport.

Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm. Evenings and weekends are by appointment. Call or text (360) 717-2220 for a quote, and describe the building and what is failing. Remote access setup can start with a conversation. The install itself is on-site.
