Scam prevention in Aberdeen and Grays Harbor

Scam prevention is for families and for businesses. I show you how phone, email, and text scams work, and I set up devices to block more of them. If one already got through, I help lock things down. I am Xander Johnstone. Olympic Digital Solutions is in Aberdeen.

The calls I get are specific. A grandparent got a text about a relative in trouble. A shop got an email that looked like a vendor. A pop-up said the computer was locked and listed a phone number. I walk through what happened, what to stop using, and what to change. I do not tell you a loss can be undone if I do not know that.

If the computer itself is infected or will not start, that work is computer repair, including virus removal. If you want the staff trained before the next email, that is cybersecurity training. I hold Security+, GSEC, GCIH, GWAPT, GFACT, and Microsoft MCP, and I have more than 10 years in IT, including the US Navy.

I make on-site and deskside visits. I also work remote when the person is comfortable on a call. Towns include Aberdeen, Hoquiam, Cosmopolis, Central Park, Aberdeen Gardens, Montesano, Elma, McCleary, Ocean Shores, Westport, Ocean City, Copalis, Grayland, and Tokeland. Area pages: Aberdeen and Hoquiam, Montesano, Elma, and McCleary, and Ocean Shores and Westport.

Bring the text, the email, or a description of the call. Do not send passwords in a text to me or to anyone else. If money already moved, say so at the start so we deal with the accounts first.

Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm. Evenings and weekends are by appointment. Call or text (360) 717-2220. If you are on the phone with the scammer right now, hang up, then call me or the number on your bank card, not the number they gave you.

Do you help families, or only businesses?

Both. Phone, email, and text scams hit households and shops. I explain the scam and help lock down the devices.
